Etihad Airways will add a fourth daily service between Abu Dhabi and Bangkok from 1 July 2015.
Operated by a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, the new service will depart the UAE capital every day at 2330, arriving at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport at 0910 the next day. The return leg will then take off from the Thai capital at 1820, arriving back into Abu Dhabi at 2200.
The new flight will complement the existing 0840, 1010 and 2100 departures from Abu Dhabi, and the 0250, 0810 and 2035 return flights from Bangkok.
The addition of a fourth daily flight will add approximately 5,000 weekly seats to the route.
“Bangkok is one of the most popular destinations in our global network. The route has strong year-round demand and attracts guests from across the UAE, GCC, Middle East, Africa and Europe,” said Kevin Knight, Etihad’s chief strategy & planning officer.
“The new service, with its attractive timing and convenient two-way connections, will make ours a more competitive and attractive offering for business travellers and holidaymakers to Thailand, as well as travellers based in Thailand.”
Etihad launched its Bangkok route in April 2004, initially operating daily. A second daily service was then added in June 2006 and a third in April 2012.
