Abu Dhabi welcomed Etihad Airways and codeshare partner airberlin’s first flight from Stuttgart. The daily flight is operated with an Airbus A320 in a two-class configuration, 12 in business class and 132 in economy.
Etihad Airways has placed its ‘EY’ code on the flights as part of a codeshare agreement with airberlin, and connects service with a range of business and leisure destinations across its network. Together, airberlin and Etihad Airways operate 63 flights per week from Germany to Abu Dhabi, flying twice daily from Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Munich and daily from Stuttgart.
James Hogan, president and chief executive officer of Etihad Airways, said: “The route is part of our long-term network development plan. As part of this plan, Etihad will drive traffic on the route, provide onward connection and offer even opportunities for airberlin and Etihad Airways guests.”
