Etihad to fly A380 to London

Etihad Airways will use one of its new Airbus A380s on flights from London to Abu Dhabi, the airline revealed today.
James Hogan, president and CEO of Etihad said the new aircraft will also be used on flights from Abu Dhabi to New York, Sydney and Melbourne.
The first of the 10 ordered A380s will be delivered to Etihad in the fourth quarter of this year although it is not yet known which route it will be introduced to first.
Etihad announced the largest fleet order in its history last November with 220 aircraft, including 87 from Airbus and 56 from Boeing. In addition to the A380s the orders include 41 Boeing 787 Dreamliners and 12 Airbus extra wide-body A350s.
Eighteen aircraft will be delivered to the airline this year including the first A380 and Dreamliners.
Europe remains as a ‘very important’ focus for the Middle Eastern carrier, which announced a third year of profits and new aviation group today.
