It’s been hours since a normal service resumed for Eurostar, but some operations were further delayed following a fire near the tracks in Paris.

Eurostar told Travel Daily there were delays at Gare du Nord for all trains coming in and out of Paris earlier today as firefighters put out a small fire on the track in St Denis.

The statement read: “There were delays at Gare du Nord for all trains coming in and out of Paris – for around 10 minutes. We’ve been told that there was a small fire detected on the track in St Denis, which has been dealt with.

“There are no cancellations to Eurostar services.”

Services were already running with a slight delay today after a weekend of disruption following a lorry fire and unrelated power fault.
