The airline will use two new themed Airbus A330-300s on flights between Taipei’s Songshan airport and both Tokyo Haneda and Shanghai Hongqiao airports. EVA is also giving the special cartoon makeover to two more A330-200s, bringing the total number of EVA’s Hello Kitty jets to five. EVA first launched the ‘Magic Jet’, ‘Apple Jet’ and ‘Global Jet’ in October last year.

The first of the transformed A330-200s will be initiated 23 May and the second on 22 June 2012. The fuselages of the jets will be painted with images of Hello Kitty and other cute characters. The aircraft will also feature pink Hello Kitty-themed cabins, special meals and other themed services.

The new Hello Kitty flights between Songshan and Haneda will be served with two daily flights, while the Songshan-Hongqiao services will be operated six times a week, every day except Tuesday.

With these additions, EVA’s Hello Kitty jets will operate to eight destinations – Narita, Haneda, Fukuoka, Hokkaido, Hongqiao, Guam, Seoul (Incheon) and Hong Kong.
