Vietjet, the fast-expanding Vietnamese low-cost carrier, has continued to grow its international network with the launch of a new direct flight between Ho Chi Minh City and Kuala Lumpur.
The inaugural flight took off on Wednesday 1 June 2016, marking the start of a new daily service.
Flights will depart HCMC’s Tan Son Nhat International Airport at 0930 and arrive in Kuala Lumpur at 1225. The return flight will take off from KLIA 2 at 1300 and arrive back in HCMC at 1355. The flight time is approximately one hour and 55 minutes.
Vietjet now flies to several major Asian cities, including Bangkok, Singapore, Bangkok, Taipei, Yangon and Seoul. And its international expansion will continue later this month with the launch of services to Tainan, its second destination in Taiwan.
The LCC recently placed the largest aircraft order in the history of Vietnamese aviation, when it agreed to purchase 100 new B737 MAX 200 aircraft.
