Expedia and Best Western have expanded their partnership with a new collaboration targeting the MICE industry.
The new “strategic alliance” will see more than 200 Best Western hotels adopt Expedia’s MeetingMarket tool, making it the first global hotel brand to white label the technology.
The hotels are all located in Germany, and from early next year MeetingMarket will become integrated into Best Western’s German homepage, bestwestern.de.
The MeetingMarket software allows customers to search for, configure and book meeting rooms, accommodation, food and equipment from a hotel’s website. Hotels are also provided with tools to monitor and manage their MICE sales, including performance reports.
“Expedia MeetingMarket… presents a huge technological leap from the manual, inefficient processes that still exist widely within the hotel meetings industry. We’re hugely excited about this new collaboration with Best Western, which sees us harness our expertise in technology for the benefit of our partners,” said Cyril Ranque, Expedia’s president of Lodging Partner Services.
Expedia has been trialling MeetingMarket.de in Germany for the past year.
