Fairmont debuts in Jakarta

Fairmont has continued its recent growth in Indonesia with the launch of its first hotel in the capital, Jakarta.
The opening of the Fairmont Sanur Beach Bali late last year marked the brand’s debut in Indonesia, and now the company has doubled its presence with the launch of the Fairmont Jakarta, located in the city’s Senayan Square.
“After many months of detailed preparation, we are pleased to open our doors to guests today,” said Carlos Monterde, general manager of the Fairmont Jakarta.
“The Fairmont Jakarta experience is unlike any other in the city thanks to our thoughtfully designed guestrooms, remarkable views and wide array of innovative dining options. We look forward to showcasing the very best that this luxury hotel and Jakarta has to offer to visitors and locals alike.”
The new hotel offers 380 rooms and suites, plus a range of luxury facilities. There are five F&B outlets, including the Spectrum restaurant with ‘live’ kitchens, the View restaurant overlooking the city, the Peacock Lounge which serves Fairmont’s afternoon tea, plus the Mont Bar and K22 Bar.
There is also a fourth floor outdoor swimming pool, 3,500m² of function space including a 1,200m² ballroom, while the 900m² Willow Stream Spa will open soon, featuring nine treatment rooms.
Following the launch of the Fairmont Sanur Beach Bali and Fairmont Jakarta, the company will continue its Indonesian growth in 2016 the addition of a second property in Bali.
