The Farnborough International Air Show is taking place in the UK this week, and Travel Daily will provide a daily round-up of all the major deals signed at the show. Here’s a rundown of the biggest deals from day one:
IAG has signed an agreement with Airbus to buy 20 A320neo aircraft. The new single-aisle jets will be operated by British Airways.
China’s Okay Airways has placed an order for six Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft and four standard B737-800s, valued at US$980 million
New Chinese carrier Zhejiang Loong Airlines has agreed to acquire 20 CS100 aircraft from Bombardier, worth US$1.3 billion
Air Lease Corporation (ALC) has penned a major deal for 25 Airbus A330-900neo aircraft and 60 A321neo aircraft.
Irish leasing company Avalon has agreed to purchase six Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners and five B737 MAX 9 aircraft, valued at more than US$2 billion
AerCap, a Dutch aircraft leasing company, has firmed up an order for 50 additional A320neo aircraft.
Another leasing firm, Nordic Aviation Capital has penned an order for 75 ATR 42-600 aircraft, in a deal valued at over US$1.5 billion.
Jordan’s Petra Airlines has signed a deal to acquire up to four Bombardier CS100 and CS300 aircraft.
