Fastbooking, which provides reservation software to the hospitality industry, has expanded its presence in Thailand.
The company has appointed Peter Yap as its new Bangkok-based country director and is now planning to expand its customer service team and invest in new technology to help serve its Thai clients.
“The hotelier’s job, every day, is growing in complexity. At Fastbooking, we provide easy-to-use solutions, digital expertise and strong customer support which helps our customers become successful and to concentrate on what do what they do best – deliver a great product and service,” said Pierre-Charles Grob, Fastbooking’s managing director for Asia.
“With his background and extensive knowledge of hoteliers, as well as the Thai market, I have every faith that Peter will help localise our strategy so that hoteliers can best leverage our solutions to grow their business in Thailand and beyond.”
Yap, who has previously worked for Millennium & Copthorne and Cox & Kings, said that one of his first objectives will be to strengthen the customer-facing team in Bangkok.
“My intention is to first develop close working relationships with our existing partners, ensuring that they maximise their opportunities to profitably grow their business with direct sales. I am also recruiting talented people to enhance our customer service team.”
Fastbooking offers a cloud-based CRS solution that incorporates an internet booking engine, GDS connectivity and a Channel Manager that connects to more than 200 distributor channels. The company was established in Singapore in 2003 and has since built a portfolio of over 2,000 hotel customers in Asia.
