Fiji Airways will expand its operations in New Zealand next year with the launch of another flight to Christchurch.
Effective 3 January 2017, the national carrier will supplement its existing twice weekly Nadi-Christchurch schedule with a third flight, following which it will operate the route every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
“Adding the third flight will increase capacity between Christchurch and Nadi by a further 336 available seats per week,” said Andre Viljoen, Fiji Airways’ managing director & CEO. “The additional flight reflects the strength of the local market.”
As well as providing South Islanders with a link to Fiji, the Christchurch-Nadi route also offers onward connections to the US aboard Fiji Airways’ direct services to Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Flights depart Christchurch at 1535 and arrive into Nadi International Airport at 1835. Departures from Fiji are at 0930, with flights reaching Christchurch at 1435. Fiji Airways operates the route using its two-class Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
