Tourism Fiji has successfully completed its three-city Indian roadshow from 3-10 February 2014.
The multi-city roadshow was held in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru with over 350 product planners and frontline staff attending the workshop. A delegation of 13 Fijian companies consisting of high-end resorts, cruise companies and inbound operators, presented their products to the Indian travel fraternity. The delegation was accompanied by Elizabeth Powell, Permanent Secretary for Tourism and Rick Hamilton, CEO of Tourism Fiji.
Pranav Kapadia, India representative for Tourism Fiji said, “India is an important emerging market and Fiji has seen a growth of over 25% year-on-year. With the increase in capacity by Fiji Airways on the Hong Kong-Nadi route as well as other airlines into Australia and New Zealand, we expect the growth rate to be higher in 2014. Our focus continues to target the high-end Indian leisure and honeymoon traveller. We will continue to invest in co-marketing activities with the trade as our new brand and TVCs have been a success globally including India.”
