Finnair will launch new scheduled services to the Thai resort destinations of Phuket and Krabi this winter.
From 14 November 2014, the airline will commence three weekly flights from Helsinki to Phuket, and then from 10 December it will start operating twice weekly flights to Krabi. Both new routes will be served using Finnair’s Airbus A340 aircraft.
Also in Asia, Finnair plans to boost its Helsinki-Nagoya service from four to five weekly flights this winter, with the addition of a new Tuesday flight using an A330.
“Thailand and Japan are two markets where Finnair has a long-established presence and where we are well positioned to serve growing demand for both leisure and business travel,” said Finnair’s senior vice president of resource management, Gregory Kaldahl.
Both Phuket and Krabi were previously served by Finnair on a charter basis.
