A remote island group off the coast of Papua New Guinea will see its first resort open early next year. Located in the Conflict Islands – a group of 22 pristine islands at the top of the Coral Sea – the Conflict Islands Resort will feature six traditional timber bungalows complete with beachfront balconies. All bungalows include air-conditioning, minibar, iPod docking station, and an en-suite bathroom.

The islands are part of Papua New Guinea’s Milne Bay province, which is famous for its array of diving locations. Activities on offer at the resort naturally include diving and snorkelling, as well as fishing, island tours, sailing, paddle boarding and kayaking.

The resort also has its own resident chef to cook up the local seafood.
