Flybe has announced new flights to Amsterdam from Manchester and London City.
The carrier will be taking on KLM and low-cost rivals with the new year-round routes, which will start this autumn.
Daily flights will run between Manchester and Amsterdam on an 88-seat Embraer 175 from 26 October aimed at business travellers.
The London City route will commence on 1 November with a Saturday morning and Sunday evening flight on a 78-seat Bombardier Q400 aircraft.
“Flybe is the largest scheduled airline by the volume of traffic movements at Manchester and, based on existing evidence, the demand for flights between there and Amsterdam is already extremely high. This is why we have conveniently scheduled our new flights to ensure the best possible times for our business customers and also for those making Flybe connections through our Manchester hub onward to Schiphol,” said Paul Simmons, chief commercial officer at Flybe.
“We are, of course, also delighted to add another route to our fast-growing schedule at London City and look forward to welcoming on board all our new passengers in October.”
