Flybe has adapted its flight schedule from London City following months of operating from the airport.

The airline announced it will drop flights between the London airport and Inverness from 22 February due to lower than anticipated passenger numbers.

Its services between London City and Exeter will be reduced from three to twice a day as part of the changes.

However other routes will be increased due to popular demand.

Six flights will operate daily between London and Edinburgh from February while Belfast will be served four times a day.

During the festive period the airline also announced two new flights to the French resort of Deauville.

Summer flights will launch from Birmingham and Exeter to the French seaside resort from 22 June through to 26 September.

Birmingham flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays while the Exeter route will operate Thursdays and Sundays.

The two routes are on top of services announced earlier this year from Bournemouth to Deauville, commencing 18 May.
