Starwood Hotels & Resorts has opened its first Four Points hotel in Makassar, the largest city on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi.
The new Four Points Makassar features 270 modern rooms, plus and five dining venues including Makassar’s first Teppanyaki restaurant. The hotel will also feature a 24-hour fitness centre, outdoor swimming pool, free Wi-Fi and 9,200m² of meeting space.
“We are excited to further expand the Four Points portfolio by adding the gateway to the eastern Indonesian islands to our list of destinations with the opening of Four Points Makassar,” said Charlie Dang, Starwood’s regional vice president of Southeast Asia. “The opening of Four Points Makassar is set to meet the increasing demands for mid-market accommodations especially in Makassar.”
Four Points Makassar will become the 16th Starwood property in Indonesia. It also forms part of a major expansion plans for the Four Points brand, which is expected to more than double its presence in the Asia Pacific region from 40 to 85 hotels in coming years.
