Four Seasons is now offering guests the chance to customise their sleeping experience, with a brand new bed that can be altered from soft to firm.
A new mattress system, which has been developed by Four Seasons in partnership with bed manufacturer Simmons, will give guests the choice of three different levels of firmness, along with a variety of pillows and bedside amenities.
According to a Sleep Survey conducted by Ipsos in late 2013, 92% of respondents expressed a definite preference on the firmness of their bed. This inspired the development of a new type of mattress that can be altered depending on guests’ needs.
“From the day we welcomed our very first guests for the night more than five decades ago, we have placed supreme importance on creating optimal sleep conditions,” said Chris Hunsberger, Four Seasons’ executive vice president of product & innovation.
“This new research supports what our guests have told us – everyone has different sleep needs, but the desire for a good night’s rest is a universal passion. That’s why we’re making it as easy as possible to fully customise the sleep experience when you stay with Four Seasons,” he added.
The new bed has already been rolled out across several Four Seasons hotels in the US, and will gradually replace the beds at all global Four Seasons properties over the next few years.
If guests like the bed, they will also be able to purchase it, along with a range of pillows and bed linens.
