The achieve this, Fraser will equip Capri properties with a range of in-room technology, including wireless internet, Geneva sound systems with iPod docks, 42-inch flat screen LED TVs and DVD players. Residences will also include kitchens while property facilities include 24-hour gyms and self-service laundries with table football, games consoles and exercise equipment. Communal technology lounges also include iMacs and charging stations for a range of digital devices, while interactive ‘e-concierge’ walls will offer information on weather, flights and local events.

The technology extends to the properties’ meeting and conference facilities, with interactive touchscreen panels that integrate whiteboards and projectors.

At the Singapore property, a relaxation zone includes an outdoor pool, steam room sauna, plus a hydro treadmill and poolside ‘EZ hammocks’ – both firsts in Singapore hotel industry – while some of the units open out on to large private terraces, complete with tables, chairs and large square hammocks.

F&B offerings at Capri by Fraser Changi City include a pool bar, a cafe serving salads and sandwiches, a main restaurant, Caprilicious, a lobby bar and 24-hour room service.

“Capri by Fraser bridges the gap between hotels and serviced residences to meet the short term accommodation needs of the 24×7 digital generation who work and play to a different beat from that of the business travellers of the past,” said Frasers’ CEO Choe Peng Sum, when launching the Capri brand.

“Market feedback has indicated that while regional travel stays are becoming shorter, usually between one to two weeks, they are also becoming more frequent, with professionals working longer, irregular hours across different time zones. So whether it is the home comforts of a personalised space where they can have the convenience of preparing their own meals even at 4am, or the independence of doing their own laundry whenever they want, Capri by Fraser is focused on enhancing the work-life balance of our guests with the flexibility and freedom to rest, relax and recharge according to their individual lifestyle needs,” he explained.

The launch of Capri by Fraser at Changi City will be followed by the opening of two more Asian properties – Capri by Fraser at Bangsar Kuala Lumpur and Capri by Fraser at District 7 Ho Chi Minh City.
