Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ fourth season from Liverpool Cruise Terminal launched on 5 May, with a nine-night sailing to the Norwegian fjords, on board 880-guest Boudicca.

The ship will be setting sail on a total of 16 voyages in 2016 – an increase on the 15 sailings offered in 2015 – from Liverpool’s Pier Head, giving holidaymakers in the North West the choice of a host of exciting and exotic destinations, including Canada, the Adriatic, Scotland, the Canary Islands and Greenland.

As well as offering turnaround calls in Liverpool, Fred. Olsen will also be visiting the city on four transit calls in 2016. In fact, Liverpool Cruise Terminal celebrated the start of its new cruise season with Boudicca’s call on 26 April, as part of her 10-night ‘Land’s End to John O’Groats’ itinerary, which departed from Falmouth on 24 April.

Boudicca’s 2016 cruise season in Liverpool will be interspersed with two calls in Greenock (Glasgow) in July, and two in Belfast in July and August 2016.

Fred. Olsen is a long-standing supporter of the Merseyside region, returning to cruising from Liverpool in 2013 with Boudicca and her sister ship, 804-guest Black Watch.

Nathan Philpot, sales and marketing director for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, said: “It is great to be back in Liverpool for our fourth cruise season. The popularity of our sailings from this vibrant city has grown significantly, and it is rewarding to see that cruising with Fred. Olsen is now well-established as the ‘holiday of choice’ in the minds of so many local people.
