A new fund has been set up by Travellanda to help companies entering the online travel space.

The new Travellanda Business Support Fund was initiated to assist both start-ups and existing offline businesses that plan to transition into the online space.

The fund will help by providing financial support of up to US$100,000, along with business support and advice, training, technology and consultation services.

“Our tagline is ‘Believing in Partnerships’ and that’s exactly why we decided to start this programme,” explained Travellanda’s head of online, Arzu Sutcu. “We have the expertise and means to help others, so we thought it would be great to give something back.

“In this economic climate, it is increasingly more important for businesses to collaborate with each other. We just want to keep the travel industry pumping for the smaller players and as a result, provide a lot more choices to the end customer. And that should be the focus.”

Travellanda is an online travel wholesaler that offers a portfolio of 200,000 hotels through its B2B booking system. Companies wanting to find out more about Travellanda’s Business Support Fund can visit: http://blog.travellanda.com/travellanda-business-support-fund/
