GCAA proposes Arab – Latin America Air Transport Summit

The Arab Civil Aviation Commission (ACAC), represented the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and its director general HE Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi recently inaugurated the 20th Ordinary Assembly of the Latin American Civil Aviation Commission (LACAC) in Brasilia, Brazil.
At the event, Al Suwaidi, who is also the president of ACAC stressed on cooperation ties between the Arab and Latin American states, as well as common interests and challenges shared by both regions.
The Director General of the GCAA highlighted the contributions of the UAE civil aviation sector by offering training courses to Latin American Civil Aviation Authorities and looking into air services agreements that enabled introduction of new services connecting Latin America with the Arab world.
Al Suwaidi also participated at a panel on air transport integration and launched an initiative to organize a high level Arab-Latin American civil aviation conference to review the current air transport developments between both regions and ways to enhance it.
