The German National Tourist Office (GNTO) recently concluded its annual road show ‘Dallal fi Almania’ (‘Feel Good in Germany’) 2015.

The annual event promotes Destination Germany in the GCC. The road show ended in Dubai, after stopping in Kuwait City, Doha and Abu Dhabi.

“Destination Germany has become one of the most popular choices of travellers and tourists from the Gulf region for several reasons. This is evident from figures supplied by the Federal Statistical Office. Statistical data reveal that overnight stays by travellers from the GCC between January and November 2014 totalled 1,755,725. This equates to an increase of 20.6% compared with the previous year. This also makes the GCC, Germany’s third-largest non-European tourism source market,” said Maria Amaral, director of the marketing and sales office of the German National Tourist Office (GNTO) in the Gulf region.

The theme this year was ‘general’ as the organisers wanted to offer a wholesome perspective of tourism in Germany. The German National Tourist Office (GNTO) brought along 20 partners to chalk out special travel plans along with travel agent here in the region.
