A football-themed hotel set up by former Manchester United players Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville opposite Old Trafford will open its doors in less than two months.
The pair are hoping to follow the success of Café Football with Hotel Football, which has also received financial backing from Phil Neville, Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt.
Giggs and Neville have set up GG Hospitality to run the hotel, which will have 133 rooms all with a full Sky package and ‘retro mini bar’.
It will have a Café Football outlet with a menu designed by Michelin star chef Michael Wignall, while a football pitch has been built on the hotel’s roof.
Despite its location the hotel will be offered to all football fans with the ‘ultimate matchday experience’.
The 10-storey hotel is located on Sir Matt Busby Way and will open on 8 December, just days before Manchester United takes on Liverpool.
According to Bdaily, the hotel will be run by general manager Stewart Davies with Louise Kemp as director of marketing. Former Apex Hotels’ Katie Garrahy has been named director of sales at Hotel Football while Michael Falla is operations manager.
