Goa welcomed Royal Caribbean International’s ‘Mariner of the Seas’ at Mormugao Port, last weekend.
The ship arrived from Dubai and passengers were greeted with traditional Goan music and dance, organised by the state tourism board. Goa’s Deputy Chief Minister, Francisco D’Souza was also present to welcome the guests. Close to 2,947 passengers from different countries and about 1,197 crew members arrived at the Goan port.
Mariner of the Seas began its 11-night cruise from Dubai to Singapore with port calls at Goa, Kochi, Penang and Kuala Lumpur. The ship will join her sister ship, Voyager of the Seas in Asia.
