Hyatt has opened a new luxury Grand Hyatt property in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur.
Located in the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) area of the city, right next to Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, the brand new Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur connected to the Golden Triangle shopping and entertainment district via a covered skybridge.
“We are thrilled to be able to bring the Grand Hyatt brand to the Malaysian community,” said Larry Tchou, Managing Director of Hyatt Asia Pacific. “Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur’s opening echoes again Hyatt’s development strategy, which is to focus on the gateway cities and markets where customers are travelling. We are very excited to introduce our authentic hospitality to Kuala Lumpur and cater to travellers from Asia and other continents around the globe.”
To check-in to the hotel, guests are taken to a ‘sky lobby’ positioned on the building’s top floor with views of the Petronas Towers. All 412 rooms and suites also feature floor-to-ceiling windows to maximise city views. In-room facilities also include MP3 docking stations and separate bathtubs.
The hotel will feature two restaurants – the top floor THIRTY8 restaurant and the ground floor JP Teres eatery with two private dining areas and show kitchens – while the poolside deck also offers al fresco dining. Other facilities include the Essa Spa with 11 treatment rooms, a 24-hour gym, and more than 3,300m² of meeting space, including a 1,000m² residential-style meeting concept.
