Gulf Air has appointed Aviareps to handle its sales and marketing in the UK.

The Bahrain-based carrier has signed an agreement that will incorporate travel agent and tour operator sales and comes as the airline continues with its restructure and focus on core markets.

Aviareps will work with Gulf Air’s London-based team.

“We are pleased to appoint Aviareps PLC as our general sales agent for the UK to work closely with our Gulf Air team in London.  The UK serves as a strategic and important market to the airline and the Kingdom, Gulf Air offers two daily non-stop flights through our efficient hub in Bahrain; a newly renovated Falcon Gold Lounge in Terminal 4 and an array of inflight services such as SkyNanny and SkyChef,” said Maher Salman Al Musallam, acting CEO of Gulf Air.

“We hope through this partnership, we will be able to better serve the UK market and drive leisure and business travels through to onward destinations by increasing the airline’s visibility and highlight its product offerings, services and network,” he added.
