Gulf Air recently attained the International Air Transport Association (IATA) ground operations manual certificate (IGOM).
This certifies that the airline is in full compliance with international standards of ground safety and operations.
Kashif Khalid, IATA campaign manager Gulf Area, presented the certificate to Gulf Air chief operations officer Captain Nasser Al Salmi and Gulf Air chief commercial officer, Ahmed Janahi.
“In completing the IATA IOSA audit earlier this year and recently joining IATA’s IGOM registry Gulf Air has demonstrated commitment to the highest levels of operational safety. The airline’s achievements are positive for both passengers and the industry in general,” said Kashif Khalid, IATA campaign manager Gulf Area.
The IATA Ground Operations Manual represents airlines’ definitive source for the latest industry-approved standards and is geared towards improved safety and operational efficiency.
