Chinese start-up carrier, Loong Air, has launched a series of new routes across the country.
From its home base at Hangzhou’s Xiaoshan International Airport, Loong Air has commenced daily flights to Beijing and three weekly flights (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays) to Lanzhou, the capital of western China’s Gansu province. The Lanzhou route operates via Luoyang, Henan province.
In addition, Loong Air now operates daily flights to Harbin, the capital of northeast China’s Heilongjiang province. Four of these weekly flights (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays) will operate via Tianjin, with the remaining three days including a stop in Tongliao, Inner Mongolia.
Formerly a cargo airline, Loong Air launched its first passenger flights in December last year. The carrier now plans to build a fleet of 20 aircraft by 2020.
