EVA Air’s Hello Kitty jet has landed in Paris, marking the themed aircraft’s debut in Europe.
The special edition Boeing 777-300ER touched down at the French capital’s Charles de Gaulle Airport on Friday and will now operate the Taiwanese airline’s four-weekly service between Taipei and Paris.
EVA’s colourful jet is adorned with images of Japanese cartoon character Hello Kitty and her friends, both inside and out. Passengers on the flights will receive special Hello Kitty boarding passes, plus in-flight gifts and even Hello Kitty-themed meals. Flight attendants will also wear special costumes.
The themed B777 moves to Paris following an earlier year-long deployment on the Taipei-Los Angeles route. Other Hello Kitty-themed jets operate to Tokyo, Sapporo, Fukuoka, Guam, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
