InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has unveiled a new Holiday Inn in Jakarta, designed to cater for the needs of long-stay guests.
Set to open in 2015, the 447-room Holiday Inn & Suites Jakarta Gajah Mada will offer a mix of hotel rooms and serviced apartments. It will form part of a mixed-use development on Jalan Gajah Mada in North Jakarta.
“Indonesia has seen very strong economic progress and industry trends have really fuelled the demand for our Holiday Inn brand. The Holiday Inn & Suites Jakarta Gajah Mada will be our first property in Indonesia to answer the increasing demand for travel in Jakarta, especially those who now need to stay for longer each time they visit,” said Clarence Tan, IHG’s chief operating officer for Southeast Asia.
Holiday Inn & Suites Jakarta Gajah Mada is one of more than 16 new Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express properties expected to launch in Indonesia over the coming years.
