Carnival Corporation subsidiary Holland America Line (HAL) has launched a new programme for the trade to make it easier for them to book flights for a cruise.
The ‘Flight Ease’ air programme gives agents two different flight options; one ‘flexible fare’ which will give flights a traveller’s schedule and a cost effective ‘restricted choice’ fare, which will suit those travellers who are sure of their travel plans.
The programme is due to be rolled out from autumn 2013.
“With one-stop shopping, Flight Ease provides convenience, competitive pricing and peace of mind,” said Richard Meadows, HAL’s executive vice president of sales, marketing & guest relations. “Our goal is to make reserving all aspects of a cruise holiday , on behalf of your clients, an easy experience, and Flight Ease makes booking the air travel component a simple and full-service process.”
Flight Ease will be available through HAL’s Polar Online booking system and feature up-to-date flight schedules. The company has also put in place a ‘Next Port Protection’ initiative which means that if a flight is delayed and passengers miss the departure time, HAL will arrange further flights to rejoin the cruise.
