Cachet Hotel Group (CHG), the Hong Kong-based hospitality company, has signed its first ever property in the US.
The company has agreed a deal for the co-branding of the Westlake Village Inn, a 6.9-hectare property located in California’s Conejo Valley, halfway between Santa Barbara and Los Angeles.
Described as a “European-style hideaway”, the resort is surrounded by its own private lake and features 141 rooms, restaurants, an “ultra lounge”, conference and banqueting facilities and outdoor space for weddings. The property has recently completed a multi-million dollar renovation.
Westlake Village Inn also features a vineyard and has developed its own wine label, The Stonehaus. As CHG’s partner, The Stonehaus wines will be launched in Asia and in Mexico, beginning with CHG’s Porterhouse by Laris steakhouse restaurant in Hong Kong and at the Cachet Corazon resort in Cabo San Lucas.
The Californian property is owned by John Notter, an international financier and developer who has served on Hilton’s board of directors.
“We are proud to partner with John Notter. He is a wonderful fit for CHG as a respected leader in the hospitality industry,” said Alexander Mirza, CHG’s president & CEO. “We are delighted to welcome Westlake Village Inn into the Cachet family and look forward to the continued growth of our portfolio across Americas.”
CHG currently operates a collection of hotels, restaurants and lounges. It is currently present in Shanghai with its Cachet Boutique and URBN hotels, and has properties in the pipeline in Chengdu, Wuhan, Kunming, Hangzhou and Bangkok, as well as in Mexico and the US.
And the company is planning to expand across the world in future, including multiple locations across the Americas and Asia Pacific.
