Lennox Hotel Miami Beach
A new modern hotel is popping out of South Florida this summer; Lennox Hotel Miami Beach.
Located in what was once the Peter Miller Hotel, the property is a protected building in the area’s ‘Historic District’. Lennox Hotels has undertaken a complete transformation of the building while retaining its original Art Deco and Mediterranean Revival architectural style exterior.
“Through the lens of a local”
CEO of Lennox Hotels, Diego Agnelli, spoke on the company’s move in the US: “We are thrilled to be expanding the Lennox Hotel brand to the US with the opening of Lennox Hotel Miami Beach. Our reasons for choosing this area were as much because of the area’s vibrancy and liveliness as it was because of the welcoming spirit of its people and the friendliness they express toward travellers.
“Our vision for Lennox Hotel Miami Beach is to provide a sophisticated and inviting setting for travellers to live an authentic Miami experience, one that not only provides a place to mingle with the locals but also allows them to feel like locals and enjoy the area, its culture and vivacity through the lens of a local.”
The Weekend
The Californian desert oasis of Palm Springs takes us back in time through the opening of the mid-century boutique hotel The Weekend. Having originally been built in the 1960s, the building has undergone a multi-million-dollar renovation.
The boutique hotel provides one and two-bedroom suites, which are all located poolside and feature living rooms, king-size beds, private patios, rainfall showers, Keurig coffee makers and L’Occitane toiletries.
voco Kirkton Park Hunter Valley
Australia’s second voco hotel, voco Kirkton Park Hunter Valley has opened its doors in the wine-country of Hunter Valley.
The hotel once again tapped interior designer, Greg Natale, to reflect the voco design concept through colour use, artwork and textiles. The 70-room property features bright yellow accents, onsite beehives and distinctive hallmarks.
The hotel’s rooms have each undergone a ‘voco refresh’ including upgrades to luxury Aveda amenities and creature comforts from high-speed Wi-Fi to cosy beddings.
Chonpines Gangneung, South Korea
Plateno Group recently announced that its mid-end hotel brand, Chonpines Hotel, is entering Korean territory with Chonpines Gangneung, South Korea.
The hotel will be in Gangneung City in Gangwon Province of South Korea and is expected to open in 2021. This marks Chonpines Hotel’s official entry to the Korean market with 50 hotels opened and nearly 300 hotels under construction in China, adding to Plateno’s international portfolio.
Parklane, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Limassol
The Luxury Collection, part of Marriott International Inc, has announced Parklane, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Limassol, the first international luxury branded resort in Cyprus.
One of the hotel’s hallmark experiences for guests is the 3,000 square metre Kalloni Spa which takes its cues from the sea — from its two outdoor and two indoor seawater pools to its Thalassotherapy menu.
Parklane joins an ensemble of over 100 Luxury Collection hotels and resorts in more than 30 countries and territories, offering indigenous and intimate, local experiences.
