Four Seasons Resort Los Cabos
Four Seasons Resort Los Cabos at Costa Palmas is now accepting reservations beginning 1 November 2019, just in time for the holiday season.
Set against the majestic backdrop of the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains on the East Cape of the Baja California Peninsula, the 1,000-acre resort community of Costa Palmas stretches along two miles of white sand beach on the shores of the Sea of Cortez.
The extensive grounds will offer five dining options, 18 acres of organic farm and orchards; a Spa and Wellness Centre with 10 stand-alone treatment rooms with two couples suites; four pools; a Robert Trent Jones II 18-hole golf course; an event space; a Sports Complex that includes tennis, volleyball, and basketball in addition to fitness facilities; a Teen Centre and Kids for All Seasons programme.
“Breaking new ground”
“We are truly breaking new ground here, being part of this community that, while only 45-minutes from Los Cabos International Airport, presents an undiscovered paradise like no other on the Baja Peninsula,” said Vince Parrotta, Four Seasons president, hotel operations – Americas West.
The St Regis Hong Kong
The St Regis Hong Kong, designed and curated by architect André Fu, is a 27-storey tower on the Hong Kong waterfront in Wan Chai, one of Hong Kong’s oldest districts.
Wan Chai is home to traditional pawnshops, the old police station and the Bauhaus-style market that Fu incorporated into his design. The heritage of Hong Kong is referenced throughout the hotel; old gas street lamps from Duddell’s Street, colonial columns from the old Wan Chai police station, and panelling, inspired by the colonial Hong Kong mansions.
Art is an important element within the hotel and Fu has been a major influence on the art collection, which features Beijing artist Zhang Gong and French conceptual artist Laurent Grasso.
Hotel de la Ville
Rocco Forte Hotels has unveiled their second hotel in Rome, Hotel de la Ville, following an extensive renovation to the 18th-century palazzo. Located in the heart of Rome, atop the Spanish Steps with views of the Eternal City, the hotel’s setting is a destination in itself.
The 104 rooms and suites are amongst the most elegant in Rome, while the signature suites offer panoramic views of the city from their large terraces. The Suite de la Ville located on the 8th floor, and accessible by a private elevator, is the hotel’s crown jewel, furnished with a curated collection of contemporary and antique furniture and its own collection of art.
Designer Tommaso Ziffer, in collaboration with Olga Polizzi, director of design for Rocco Forte Hotels, was inspired by The Grand Tour of the 18th century when English and German nobles collected pieces of art during their cultural journeys to European cities.
The Whitley, a Luxury Collection Hotel
This June, The Whitley, a Luxury Collection Hotel, owned by Host Hotels & Resorts, will officially unveil its multi-million-dollar transformation, including a re-design of all 507 rooms (including 56 suites) and a remodelled reception and lobby area that features a traditional Southern front porch.
Located in Atlanta’s coveted Buckhead neighbourhood, a hub for shopping, art galleries, and live performances, The Whitley began renovations in Fall 2018 which will debut in June 2019. Formerly The Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead, the hotel reopened its doors in late 2017 as The Whitley, paying homage to Buckhead’s legendary founder and trailblazer, John Whitley, a farmer, hunter, and tradesman who migrated to the area in the 1800s seeking a place for gathering, conducting business, and sharing ideas.
