I write about the best hotels for a living and I’d love to help you pick the perfect getaway spot (for yourself or your clients) in 2018. So, if you’re ready to go and live the dream, I’ve listed down some of my favourite hotels opening this year.
Montage Los Cabos, Mexico
Set to open in May 2018, this seaside resort is located on the shores of Santa Marina Bay in Los Cabos – one of the few swimmable beaches in the area.
It will offer its guests walk-in access to snorkelling and diving at Santa Marina Bay, wellness programs and treatments at the signature Spa Montage, as well as fitness offerings including tennis and recreational lawn facilities.
The resort is designed with native desert materials and provides indoor and outdoor spaces. It’s a luxury resort with a stunning natural backdrop – another superb addition to the stunning Mexican coastline.
AYANA Komodo Resort, Indonesia
The first and only 5-star resort on Flores Island’s Waecicu Beach, AYANA Komodo Resort is expected to open in the summer of 2018.
This hideaway is comprised of 12 suites and 189 premium guest rooms. Contemporary rooms feature stunning ocean views with large windows to capture the tropical details of its surroundings.
In this hotel resort, you’ll be immersed in a diverse array of landscapes. It’s located in one of the most rugged but picturesque islands of the Indonesian Archipelago.
Pod Times Square, USA
This trendy boutique hotel is one of the coolest hotels in the New York City. It’s a cozy space to rest your bones in the city that never sleeps.
Each room at the Pod Times Square has climate control, dimming lights, its own bathroom that features rainfall showers, and oversized sound-proof windows to provide uninterrupted views of the city. They call their rooms ‘pods’ because they’re compact spaces that maximize efficiency by taking away the excess.
The Pod Times Square promises to open soon and we can’t wait.
Baglioni Resort Maldives
Perched peacefully on the Indian Ocean, Baglioni Resort Maldives is a dreamy hotel resort on the remote island of Maagau in Dhaalu, a 40-minute seaplane ride from the capital, Malé.
It’s brimming with tropical beauty and offers not only scenic views, but a blend of sport, relaxation, and gourmet dining for its exclusive international clientele.
This paradise is set to open in the summer of 2018.
Four Seasons Resort Seychelles at Desroches Island
A castaway paradise with a population of about 100, this resort is the only establishment on the captivating Desroches Island.
Visitors will surely enjoy the unrivalled privacy and absolute freedom in this hotel, situated in a remote location, secluded from the world. It’s a pristine tropical sanctuary edged by 14 kilometres of soft white beaches.
The new resort will offer a mix of bungalows, suites, and multi-bedroom residences – all with a chic castaway vibe. Expect the Four Seasons Seychelles to open early this year.
