Hurtigruten inks deal with Widgety to support agents
Hurtigruten has signed a deal with Widgety to make the latest information and content from the expedition brand available to UK travel agents. Widgety works with over 500 travel agents across the UK, providing them with access to content from over 40 ocean cruise and 20 river lines.
From now on, agents will be able to access information including, detail on the Hurtigruten fleet, new imagery, and video content, up to date brochures, the full range of itineraries plus excursions, and the latest pricing.
Damian Gevertz, director of Widgety said: “The platform exists to provide cruise line and tour operator content to travel agents. Being able to include every element of Hurtigruten into our platform, both ship images and the huge number of cruise dates and pricing to an agent is mutually beneficial to all parties. It allows Widgety to have a better range of content for agents, Hurtigruten to get easy distribution and access to its third party agents and for the travel agent; an incredibly easy way to bring in and keep up to date everything about the cruise line.”
Mark Walter, head of UK sales at Hurtigruten said: “Working with the platform provides new opportunities to support and engage with the trade and makes promoting Hurtigruten products as easy and as accessible as possible for agents.” The partnership follows the announcement of new departures from Dover from March 2021 and the recommencement of sailings in Norway last week.
