Hyatt has opened its first property on the Thai resort island of Phuket.
The Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort is set on a hillside location at Kamala Cove, overlooking the Andaman Sea. All 199 rooms have private balconies with sea and sunset views.
“Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort is… located in one of Southeast Asia’s top holiday and tourist spots, which will establish Hyatt’s brand presence in this highly sought-after resort market,” said Larry Tchou, Hyatt’s group president for Asia Pacific.
“Our Hyatt Regency properties aim to create a distinct experience for guests by catering to their individual needs and allowing them to connect and recharge, all while incorporating the localness of their destination.”
The new resort will offer a range of facilities, including two restaurants with indoor and al fresco dining options, a large swimming pool, fitness centre and a spa with eight treatment rooms. There is also a kids’ club and almost 400m² of conference and banqueting space, including a ballroom.
Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort becomes the third Hyatt property in Thailand, following the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok and Hyatt Regency Hua Hin.
