Hyatt has opened its first hotel in Changchun, the capital of northeast China’s Jilin province.
The new Hyatt Regency Changchun is located in the city’s Chaoyang district and forms part of the Hongwell International Plaza, a major new skyscraper. It is a 50-minute drive from the city’s Longjia International Airport.
“The introduction of our strong Hyatt Regency brand in Changchun… reinforces our commitment to growing our brands purposefully in the places where our guests are travelling,” said Christopher Koehler, Hyatt’s vice president & managing director for China. “We believe this hotel will contribute to our goal of becoming the most preferred hotel company.”
The new hotel offers a total of 427 rooms and suites, ranging from 40-255m². Guests staying in the Regency Club rooms and suites have access to the 42nd floor club lounge.
Facilities at the hotel include a 25-metre heated indoor pool, a jacuzzi and fitness centre, all of which are located on the sixth floor, and there is also 2,300m² of event space, including an 800m² ballroom.
In terms of F&B, the hotel features five restaurants and bars, including Chinese and international outlets, a pastry shop, lounge and bar.
The Changchun hotel becomes the 16th Hyatt Regency in China and the second in Jilin province, following the Hyatt Regency Changbaishan.
