Hyatt has opened its second hotel in the Indian city of Ahmedabad.
The new Hyatt Regency Ahmedabad is located close to the Sabarmati River and offers 210 rooms and suites, all with iHome stations and 40-inch LED TVs.
Designed to appeal to the MICE market, Hyatt Regency Ahmedabad will offer more than 1,360m² of function space, including a 561m² ballroom, pre-function area, two boardrooms, four meeting rooms and two “breakaway rooms”.
Other facilities at the luxury hotel include Chinese, Italian and international restaurants, a bar, coffee shop, swimming pool with jacuzzi, fitness centre and a spa with five treatment rooms.
The hotel’s 10th floor also houses the Regency Club lounge and rooms, which overlook the city and river.
“The opening of Hyatt Regency Ahmedabad in one of India’s most business-oriented cities reinforces our focus on India as a key market for development,” said Kurt Straub, Hyatt’s vice president of operations for India.
“India is an important region to our guests, and we have plans to continue growing representation of our brands here. With the introduction of our signature Hyatt Regency brand to Ahmedabad, we are delighted to have two operating Hyatt-branded hotels in the city.”
The new Hyatt Regency Ahmedabad joins the existing Hyatt Ahmedabad Hotel in the Gujarat city.
