Iberostar offers free medical insurance on every direct booking

Iberostar Hotels and Resorts add another layer of security by offering Iberostar Extra Care Insurance, a medical insurance for free!

For every booking done via Iberostar.com and the company’s call centre, the hotel will add a free Iberostar Extra Care Insurance offered through Europ Assistance. This is basic insurance that covers you for any medical problems during your holiday (including COVID-19).

The Iberostar Extra Care Insurance is applied automatically to all bookings made through our website or Contact Centre and covers the following:

  • Medical expenses incurred in the event of illness (including COVID-19) or an accident. Limit: up to EUR40,000 for incidents in the hotel.
  • Emergency dental costs. Limit: up to EUR300.
  • Medical advice service (medical consultation over the phone).
  • Medical transportation service for sick or injured individuals.
  • Transportation of human remains.
  • Extension of the accompanying individual’s stay at the hotel in the event of the hospitalisation of the insured. Limit: up to EUR5,000.
  • Relocation of the accompanying individual in situ. Limit: up to EUR20 per day for a maximum of 10 days.
  • Emergency transportation to the hospital.
  • Expenses incurred during the accompanying individual’s stay at the clinic. Limit: up to EUR100 per day for a maximum of 10 days.
  • Extension of stay at the hotel in the event of illness (including quarantine caused by COVID-19) or an accident. Limit: up to EUR300 per day for a maximum of 15 days.
  • Relocation of the accompanying individual in the event of hospitalisation of the insured. For hospital stays over 5 days.
  • Expenses incurred by the accompanying individual during the stay in the event of hospitalisation. Limit: up to EUR300 per day for a maximum of 15 days.
  • Accompanying minors or dependents.
  • The return trip of those included in the booking.
  • Expenses incurred by the accompanying individual during the transportation of the human remains of the insured. Limit: up to EUR100 per day for a maximum of 10 days.
  • Sending a doctor to the hotel.
  • Expenses incurred in the event of the interruption of the stay caused by death or hospitalisation of the insured due to COVID-19. Limit: up to EUR500.

The medical insurance takes effect from the moment guests check-in until they check out.
