Iceland Express to deploy newer aircraft on London route

Iceland Express (IEX) is to provide newer Airbuses on its London-Keflavik routes following an aircraft lease dealwith Czech Airlines subsidiary CSA Holidays. The agreement will see the airlineuse two Airbus A320 on the route and replaces its previousdeal with UK-based Astraeus.
The carrier is now working towards gaining its ownoperating licence by the end of 2012, having submitted forms to Icelandicofficials.
“We are pleased to be working with CSA Holidays and are lookingforward to moving the airline into the future with a modern fleet which willprovide a better service for our passengers,” said Heimir Mar Petursson, publicrelations manager at IEX. “We’ve experienced tremendous growth over the lastyear and we are confident this new relationship will allow us to continue thisgrowth and expand our network of destinations”.
