InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has opened a new Holiday Inn resort in the southern Thai province of Krabi.
The former Sala Talay Resort & Spa has been rebranded as will reopen tomorrow (1 November 2012) as the Holiday Inn Resort Krabi Ao Nang Beach.
“We are pleased to announce the initial phase of the opening of our first Holiday Inn property in this beautiful region of Krabi,” said the hotel’s General Manager, Steve Ng. “We hope that all our guests will be able to enjoy a true home away from home experience when they stay with us.”
The resort will initially offer 55 rooms ranging from 45-95m², plus an outdoor free-form swimming pool, a fitness centre, restaurant, kids’ club, spa and library. All rooms will include Wi-Fi and iPod docking stations.
But a major expansion is being planning over the next 12 months, which will see the resort grow to 188 rooms by October 2013. The new wing will include a range of new products including KidSuites – rooms with separate areas for parents and children – plus three swimming pools and a large water slide.
