InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has signed a deal to manage Holiday Inn Dubai Science Park.
The newly built hotel will operate under a management agreement with an affiliate of the Rolaco Group, which already owns IHG properties in the US and Europe.
Scheduled to open in 2019, the hotel is located in Dubai Science Park, the region’s first freezone community offering facilities including office and laboratory space, as well as residential units, with the aim of creating a vibrant ‘Life Sciences’ community.
Located near the Arabian Ranches and Motor City, Holiday Inn Dubai Science Park is just 15 minutes away from one of the largest and busiest shopping malls in the city, Mall of the Emirates.
Holiday Inn Dubai Science Park will comprise 402 rooms and suites, including five meeting rooms and a conference hall seating 600 guests. To ensure an enjoyable experience for the guests, the property will also offer four food and beverage outlets, an outdoor swimming pool, and a gym.
Pascal Gauvin, COO, India, Middle East & Africa, IHG, said: “The signing reinforces our current footprint in the UAE, which includes 19 hotels open and another 11 hotels in our pipeline. The UAE is home to our second largest portfolio of hotels in the Middle East and we continue to expand our portfolio in the region.”
Mr. Saud Abdulaziz Al Sulaiman, board member of the Rolaco Group, added: “As Holiday Inn is recognised by millions around the world and appeals to a wide range of guests, we’re confident the hotel will become a key pillar of the Life Sciences community being created in the city. We look forward to opening the doors of Holiday Inn Dubai Science Park and welcoming business and leisure guests to this new area of Dubai.”
