India’s e-tourist visa programme continues to gain traction, with a sharp rise in applications in October 2016.
According to the latest data from the Indian Ministry of Tourism, a total of 105,268 e-visas were issued to international visitors last month, up 86.4% compared to the 56,477 issued in October 2015. This also reflects however, the expansion of the scheme in the last year.
