Australia welcomed 16,300 Indian visitors in November 2013, an increase of 18% as compared to the same in 2012.

“It’s wonderful that an ever increasing number of Indians are being drawn to Australia’s diverse and cosmopolitan cities, as well as our stunning natural landscapes. I am confident Australia will continue to receive more and more visitors from this country, which will continue to benefit from our bilateral relationship,” said Australia’s High Commissioner to India, Patrick Suckling.

During the first 11 months of 2013, total of 173,500 Indian visitors travelled down under, registering 13% growth from the same period last year. India is Australia’s 10th largest source market.
