Industry celebrates ACE awards

The annual ACE Cruise Excellence Awards were announced on Thursday (20 September), recognising firms and individuals who have developed market leading status within the travel industry.
This year, three new awards were added to the roster: best home-worker, cruise line sales team and cruise line sales person.
Winners included TUI, Celebrity and Inglu.com all of which were handed the award at the ceremony, which took place after ACE’s annual Columbus Day.
We have recognised some truly outstanding people who have gone over and above expectations in promoting and selling cruise holidays,” said ACE director Andy Harmer.
The winners on the night were:
Agent Innovation Award – Holiday Superstore Cruise Events for TUI
Cruise Line Sales Team of the Year – Celebrity Cruises
Cruise Line Sales Person of the Year – Ruth Gardiner, Celebrity Cruises
Home-worker of the Year – Ian Warren, GoCruise
Cruise Agency of the Year – Iglu.com
Cruise Agent of the Year – Gillian Gallagher, TUI
ACE Outstanding Contribution to the UK Cruise Industry – Jo Rzymowska, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Club Cruises.
