Ramakrishna ‘Rama’ Rebbapragada died at his home in Florida last Wednesday after a long illness. A 29-year veteran of Royal Caribbean, Rama first started working on the ships and rose through the ranks in the company to play a major role in the company’s global expansion.
He will be remembered for impact in the Asian cruise market, as the driving force behind the formation of the Asia Cruise Association (ACA) and its inaugural chairman.
Adam Goldstein, Royal Caribbean’s president and CEO called Rama “one of the most dedicated, loyal and passionate advocates for Royal Caribbean that we have ever had at the company”.
