Irhal recently launched its Arabic and English mobile app especially for Muslim travellers.
The application focuses on tourist attractions and shopping places across 90 cities globally and also lists nearest Halal restaurant and mosque.
Prayer timings and a compass has also been installed to show directions of Makkah. This app can be downloaded free from the Apple or Android store.
According to a recent Thomson Reuters study, Islamic tourism is a US$137 billion market and tourists from the GCC spend US$40 bn every year. With more than 70% mobile penetration and a lack of Arabic mobile content, Irhal aims to cater for this must-have resource for all Muslim travelers.
