Celebrity chef James Martin has extended his partnership with Thomas Cook to develop in-flight meals for another two years.
Martin will create more meals for the coming summer and winter seasons including BBQ maple chicken, beef and dumplings and chicken tandoori.
The three-course meals are available from GBP8.50 and will also include a breakfast, afternoon tea, vegetarian options and a children’s menu.
“Over the last two years, our James Martin meals have gone from strength to strength and are now an integral part of our in-flight experience. Offering great value as well as outstanding quality, we’re excited about our new menu for summer 14,” said Thomas Cook Airlines UK’s director of customer delivery and sales Alison Watson. “James is now even more of a household name than ever and it’s fantastic news that he’s continuing to work on our menus.”
Martin added: “It’s been a pleasure to work with the Thomas Cook team to develop their in-flight meals over the last few years and I feel we have a brilliant product for the customers to try. It takes a lot of work to develop, with testing recipes again and again, but the end product shows the commitment of all involved – as in I never thought I would see a soufflé on the menu at 36,000 feet!”.
